In 2020 I was approached by Director, Rachael Hewer, to act as a Fundraising Consultant and Executive Producer on a filmed production of Ravel’s L’Enfant et les Sortilèges. The production featured musicians from the London Philharmonic Orchestra and a cast of over 60 singers all recorded in lockdown isolation, using green-screen technology to bring the piece to life in post-production. Apart from at the orchestral recording sessions and those artists already living together, no two members of the company were ever in the same room together.

The production has been seen by over 12,000 online viewers and received rave reviews across the press. Audience response aside, I am perhaps most proud of the fact we were able to raise sufficient funds to ensure we could offer properly paid work to over 135 freelance artists, technicians and administrators, all of whom had lost work due to Covid cancellations and closures, alongside being able to offer everyone involved dedicated mental health support whenever needed.
